I love lamb, but due to the high cost of it at the grocery store I just can not justify buying it. Yesterday I was scanning Craig's List and came across an add for a butcher lamb. I gave them a call and it just happened to be someone that I knew! To make a long story short, I was able to buy a grass fed lamb for $50!
Needless to say I'm exhausted since I spent 5 hours today on my feet turning him from a hopping crazy 80# lamb into a portioned and packaged 43# of meat that is now aging in the fridge. I am SO excited...can you guess what's on the menu this weekend??
