Silly finally decided to turn loose of her babies and wow did she ever do great! Despite drastic herd cuts, we will be keeping the two doelings. The boy is for sale....and hopefully will be gone soon because the more I look at him the more I want to keep him! He's got black moon spots, although you can't see them in the pic.
In birth order they are......Queenacres Frankincense....the buckling...."Frank"
Then my favorite because she is monster big....and wildly spotted....Queenacres Fennel Fusion..."Fennel"..
And last.....the dear sweetheart of the group.....she has the laced ears of her granddam Legacy, but with a rich mahogany color. All that plus more, she's a sweetie....."Filly"....Queenacres Faceted Filigree...
This concludes our kidding season for the year. We have 1 more doe to kid, but have leased her to a friend for kidding.
As of right now we have 30 turkey poults on the ground
We are beginning to hatch our 2011 chickens (meat birds)
We are bartering for a boar hog to breed our female
We've got lots of plants started, and Bob is drawing plans for a small greenhouse.
