To make it you simply combine the powdered cheese* with milk and butter over low heat until you have a creamy sauce. Soak the mushrooms in boiling water for 10 minutes; drain, and add to the sauce. I also add 1/2 tsp dry mustard and a tsp of dried sliced garlic. Drain the tuna and add to the sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix the sauce with cooked pasta and spread into a buttered casserole dish. Mix a bit of the butter with seasoned bread crumbs (or just used pulverized chips or goldfish crackers) and sprinkle over the top. A light dusting of parm is good on that too.
Bake until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.

* a quick note about the cheese powder. This is not like the packets that come in a box of Kraft Mac N Cheese. This is actually powdered dry cheddar cheese. You can buy either one, I just wanted to clarify what I used in this recipe. :)
