Because of the drought, and the skyrocketting price of grains, we are looking into alternative methods of feeding our animals. One of the feeding methods that seems to be the right fit for us is fodder feeding. This is done by first sprouting the grains for a period (6-7 days). Eventually I'd like to incorporate it into our aquaponics system....but for now we'll get the process started and see how the animals react.
